Prime Minister Narendra Modi flew to Vishakapatnam from Delhi a short while ago. He along with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu first spoke to officials about the disaster and later watched the photo exhibition arranged by the government. Later made on road survey and aerial survey of the damage. The Prime Minister is in all praises for Chandrababu government for effectively handling the relief works.
Modi announced an immediate help of 1000 Crore to the state and promised more help once the damage is calculated. He also announced 2 Lakhs ex-gratia for every death and 50000 to every injured person. This will be given to the victims along with the help promised by the state government. He assured people that the Center will be with them and the state government till the normalcy is restored. Later on the Prime Minister flew to Delhi from Vishakapatnam defence airport.
