Narendra Modi has started off showing his mark on BJP as well. Indications are strong that Modi’s close aide Amit Shah will be instilled as the President of BJP. The announcement may come tomorrow after BJP’s Parliamentary Party meeting.Amit Shah served as Home Minister of Gujarat when Modi was the Chief Minister. He had to step down after allegations of a fake encounter.
Amit Shah concentrated on Uttar Pradesh in the last elections and engineered a land slide victory for BJP there winning 71 of the total 80 MP seats. Amit Shah outplayed his competitors for the coveted post in the wake of emerging elections to Maharashtra, Haryana and Jharkhand Assemblies. Amit Shah if elected will succeed Rajnath Singh who is currently the Union Home Minister.
