YCP leader Mudragada Padmanabham stated that people don’t fall for the film actors in politics these days. He said that Pawan Kalyan would lose in Pithapuram in the upcoming elections.
Mudragada said that except for NTR and MGR, no one could do well in politics. He stated that even people are in no state to believe these movie stars.
Mudragada further alleged that even if movie stars win elections, they struggle to balance movies and politics. Giving the example of Krishnam Raju, Mudragada said that everyone worked hard for Raju’s win but he failed to prioritize public service after becoming an MP.
His statements are being criticized by netizens. They opined that there was no need to defame Krishnam Raju when Mudragada wanted to attack Pawan Kalyan.
Mudragada said that he initially planned to contest against Pawan Kalyan at least as an independent candidate. However, he had to join YCP upon Jagan’s request.
When asked about why YCP didn’t offer him the Pithapuram ticket, Mudragada said that the ticket distribution had already been done by the time he joined the party.
