That 1 Incident That Changed Everything For Lokesh?

Nara Lokesh on his political journey

Andhra Pradesh, IT Minister Nara Lokesh might be one of the most successful politicians in India today, but things were not very easy for him at the starting stages.

The defeat from the Mangalagiri assembly constituency in 2019 should have been crushing for him, but he did not back down from that either. His consistent fight met him and MLA in 2024 followed by the familiar position of IT minister.

However, if we roll back to the time when Lokesh had actually decided to enter politics, there is an interesting revelation that has been made by the Minister himself.

Lokesh revealed that there was one particular incident involving his father Chandrababu Naidu that happened in 2005, which changed everything for him.

“Back in 2004 or 2005, ChandraBabu garu and I went to an event in Hyderabad and there were around 5000 people here. Immediately after Babu Garu entered the arena all 5000 people stood up at once. Babu Garu was not even the CM back then as he had lost the earlier election. But the kind of respect that he got from the public inspired me.” Lokesh said.

Lokesh decided at the age of 21 or 22 politics, thanks for this particular incident involving Chandrababu. He had reportedly made it very clear in the Stanford application and also spoke about the same to Brahmani about entering politics.

About his childhood aspirations and dreams, Lokesh said it was always about succeeding in politics. It was further added that it was his mother who shaped his career from the youngest while his father had a little role in this.
