During the arrest, Chandrababu insisted on showing Prima Facie evidence of his involvement or his name in the involvement.

But the Police did not show both and only repeatedly said they would mention all of that in Remand Report.

Chandrababu and his lawyers argued that it is against priciples of law and natural justice but the police served the 50 (1) CrPC Notice and took him into custody.

The former CM’s arrest will be recorded in Mangalagiri Police Station and is likely to be produced in the local court.

The idea of Saturday arrest is to ensure two days of remand for Chandrababu because of court holidays due to Second Saturday and Sunday.

We will have to see if the TDP lawyers will be able to push for an urgent hearing.

For the unversed about the Skill Development Case – During Chandrababu Naidu’s regime, Andhra government had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with German company Siemens for the skill development programme, with the government offering to fund 10% of it.

After coming to power, Jagan Government claims that there is a scam of 371 Crore.
