Noose Tightening Around Kodali Nani?

The police have given notices to followers of ex minister and YSRCP leader Kodali Nani. Gudivada police issued 41A notices to them.

Those who got notices included Dukkipati Sasibhushan, Paladugu Ramprasad and Gorla Sreenu. There are cases on the trio in forcing volunteers to resign and liquor warehouse issue.

In both the incidents, cases were filed on Kodali Nani, Beverages Corporation ex MD Vasudeva Reddy and the then JC Madhavilatha Reddy among others.

The High Court had directed that 41A notices be given and enquiry be launched following that. Based on this, the police gave notices on Friday.

In June, 2024, case was filed against Kodali Nani for forcing volunteers working in grama and ward sachivalayams before general elections.

A group of volunteers attached to different sachivalayams in Gudivada alleged that Nani called them for meetings and asked them to resign.

Case was filed on ex minister under Section 506 IPC and other charges.

Another case was filed by Duggirala Prabhakar who said due to Vasudevareddy’s involvement, his family suffered huge losses in business. He alleged that his liquor godown was also set on fire that led to the subsequent death of his mother due to depression. They also threatened to kill his father, the complainant said.




With notices to followers, the talk is that Kodali Nani’s plight could be similar to that of Vallabhaneni Vamsi.
