Nallapureddy Prasannakumar Reddy who bragged that he didn’t know what fear was, got a huge jolt. Police gave him notices in the case regarding Kovur MLA Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy.
It is known that Prasannakumar Reddy made objectionable comments against the Kovur MLA. The entire state of Andhra Pradesh expressed outrage against Prasannakumar Reddy for defaming a woman MLA.
Prashanthi Reddy filed a case with the police and also complained to the women’s commission. Now the police have given notices to Prasannakumar Reddy. He was asked to appear before police on July 25.
The case might turn into a lesson for Prasannakumar Reddy who made reckless and personal comments about Prashanthi Reddy. The High Court also expressed its ire regarding the matter.
The Court took cognizance of the fact that Prasannakumar Reddy backed his statements the next day, instead of showing any remorse. Hence it denied bail to Reddy.
The AP High Court directed that notices be given under BNS 35 (3) and inquiry be taken up.
