Prior to the 2024 Andhra Pradesh election, YS Jagan had this coin term of Siddham. He ran several campaigns in this name and repeatedly said Siddham which indicated his preparedness for the election.
But this did not end well for him as this campaign was such a huge disaster and it was preceded by five years of serious misrule which resulted in YCP getting restricted to 11 seats.
Now, nearly 3 years after the tremendous failure of this Siddham campaign, YCP has brought back this disaster term again.
In the context of the upcoming local body election, which has been officially confirmed by the election commission today, YCP shared their first post and it was a video of Jagan saying Siddham.
When a term has such a poor recall value and was so outrightly rejected by the people of Andhra Pradesh, YCP could have done well off without bringing back this coin term Siddham, perhaps.
It must be kept in mind that this Siddham campaign committed by Jagan faced allegations of VFX crowd creation and fabricated public push too. Nothing associated with it yielded positive outcome for the party till now.
It is small yet impactful decisions like these that can make or break a political campaign and it appears that YCP has already started on a disaster note by bringing back this Siddham slogan.
Meanwhile, the crucial dates regarding the upcoming local body election are as below.
▸Municipal: Oct 28 Polling, Oct 30 Results
▸MPTC, ZPTC: Nov 3 Polling, Nov 5 Results
▸Panchayat: Nov 26, 29 & Dec 2
