Following the attack in Baisaran Meadow in Pahalgam, security has been tightened in Tirumala Tirupati. It is known that the attack was targeted at tourists where 25 Indians and one foreigner were shot dead.
As the terrorists targeted tourists, other tourist places are on high alert across India. On Wednesday, high alert was announced across Himachal Pradesh state. Today, high alert was announced in Mumbai. Similarly high alert has been announced in tourist places.

On a precautionary basis, the police are taking security measures in spiritual places. As a part of this, security has been tightened in Tirumala.
As the intelligence reports say there is threat to important places, the TTD staff are on alert. As a part of the exercise, apart from Alipiri check post, security forces are checking all RTC buses and private transport on ghat roads. They are also scanning the luggage of devotees.

The security is also on high alert at Tirumala temple around the main temple. The security is checking details of anyone found suspicious on the hill.
