It wasn’t long before YSR Congress was literally untouchable in Andhra Pradesh with staggering 151 MLAs on their side. But this came crumbling down in the 2024 Andhra Pradesh assembly election.
Today YCP is not even the second biggest party in Andhra Pradesh as it has been confined to the third position much behind Janasena party.
But the point of difference is that Janasena is in alliance with Telugu Desam and BJP to form the NDA coalition government, so whatever anti incumbency vote there is, will go to the YCP camp.
However, Pawan Kalyan appears to be very confident about the independent rise of Janasena party, regardless of the kind of political narrative that is built by YCP. He sounded very confident about the fact that JSP will continue to be rising for in Andhra Pradesh if YCP attacks them, or even if they’re silent.
The main competition for Janasena is with ourselves, and it has nothing to do with YCP. Our aim is not to care about that Jagan party or anything, but improve our fundamental foundation at the root level and enhance our electoral prospect.
JanaSena is going to become an unassailable force in AP and we’re halfway through the journey already. We will certainly be aiming for a stronger and consolidated position beyond reach of any other party.
The stronger Janasena grows the tougher it becomes for YCP to gain the required vote share to form the government so any progress made by PK on this front will be of diminishing value for the Jagan party.
