Pawan Kalyan reviews panchayat reforms

Deputy CM and Panchayati Raj Minister Pawan Kalyan said his priority is to strengthen village administration through real reforms. He stressed that officials must ensure these efforts reach the people effectively and deliver visible results on the ground.

Pawan Kalyan directed that Division Level Development Officer (DLDO) offices should start functioning from November 1. He held a review meeting with Panchayati Raj officials on Thursday to assess progress and implement fresh administrative measures.

He explained that after ending the cluster system, 13,515 independent panchayat units have been created to improve services for villagers. These units aim to make governance more efficient and bring key services closer to rural communities.

The Minister also stated that financial stability is central to village development. He said the department is working with both central and state governments to secure necessary funds and follow the 15th Finance Commission’s guidelines to make panchayats self-reliant.

Pawan Kalyan urged officials to work proactively to ensure the benefits of the Chandrababu government’s new rural policies reach every household. He instructed senior officers to conduct regular reviews to monitor funds and administrative progress.

He also asked officers to submit reports on development activities completed under Palle Panduga 2.0, ensuring that all projects and events reflect measurable outcomes in village development.
