The opposition YSR Congress ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh has been targeting the DSC recruitment completed recently by the TDP+ government. The issue has also become a major point of discussion in the political space.
Jagan has criticised the government over alleged irregularities in the conduct of the examination. A similar narrative has been raised by YCP leaders in the Legislative Council and Assembly.
However, the NDA government has been actively responding to these allegations. The ruling alliance has maintained that the claims being made by the opposition need to be examined against the government’s record on DSC recruitments.
Today, Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav made notable comments in the Legislative Council. He compared the records of the NDA and YSR Congress while highlighting the numbers related to DSC recruitments.
Payyavula Keshav stated that the TDP government had completed 14 mega DSCs during its tenure. He presented this as a significant record, pointing to the scale of recruitment drives completed under the party’s previous terms in government.
In contrast, the YSR Congress was in power from 2019 to 2024. During its five-year tenure, the YCP administration did not complete a single DSC recruitment, according to the minister’s remarks.
The contrasting figures have now become a key part of the political debate over DSC recruitment in Andhra Pradesh. Supporters of the TDP+ government are using the numbers to counter the opposition’s criticism.
The issue is expected to remain politically significant as both sides continue to debate the recruitment process and the government’s record on DSC appointments.
