There are reports coming in that APCID has ascertained that Peddireddy Midhun Reddy is the mastermind behind the Liquor Scam that took place in the last five years. Eenadu published a detailed report about it, the other day.
Jagan Mohan Reddy was asked about it in his media brief today and his response sounded really strange.
He began by venting his frustration on Eenadu and the next part is outright silly.
“Eenadu’s report is all about its eagerness to corner a person. How is Midhun Reddy connected? He is an MP and is our Parliament Floor Leader. What is his father’s portfolio? How is he related to Liquor? How will these cases stand?,” Jagan said.
Keeping aside this for a while, Kalvakuntla Kavitha is an MLC and resides in Hyderabad. How is she connected to the Delhi Liquor Scam? Which state Chief Minister is her father? How is she connected to the Delhi Liquor Scam?
The CBI and ED named Kavitha in the Delhi Liquor Scam.
This proves how weak is the argument of Jagan.
It is known that Peddireddy is the second most powerful Minister in the then cabinet after Jagan. Asking how Peddireddy is connected to some other ministry is nothing but a joke.
It is to be mentioned here that Eenadu’s report mentioned that there was a scam of 3000 Crore and the proceeds were forwarded by Midhun Reddy to the Big Boss (the then CM Jagan Mohan Reddy) via Hawala.
Jagan cautiously and intelligently mentioned Midhun Reddy and excused himself.
