TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu confirmed that his party will be making an alliance with BJP in the upcoming elections. Already, Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena joined hands with TDP. Now, the BJP also officially joined the force.
Speaking in a teleconference with the party’s main leaders, Chandrababu confirmed that TDP will contest alongside JSP and BJP in the upcoming general elections in Andhra Pradesh. He said that the joint alliance announcement will be made soon.
Chandrababu additionally affirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend a huge public gathering on March 17. He urged his party leaders to finalize a suitable venue for this event.
He further stated that the BJP and JSP will get 30 assembly seats and 8 Lok Sabha seats collectively as part of their alliance.
Chandrababu emphasized the necessity of the central government’s support given the current circumstances of Andhra Pradesh.
He said that allying with the BJP would help the TDP in rescuing the state from its financial woes. Chandrababu stressed that the alliance was formed for the welfare of Andhra Pradesh.
