Former CBI JD Lakshminarayana had floated a New Political Party ‘Jai Bharat National Party’ and announced contesting independently in the 2024 elections.
Lakshminarayana was the CBI Joint Director who arrested Jagan Mohan Reddy in Disproportionate cases. He earned so much respect from the people for being upright and impartial in the case.
He took voluntary retirement and contested the 2019 elections for Vishakapatnam Parliament on the Janasena ticket.
He came distant third but helped the YSR Congress candidate win by eating into the votes of TDP.
He left the Janasena party and has been operating independently since then.
Blue Media is suddenly carrying Lakshminarayana on its shoulders claiming that his party is going to emerge as an alternate to the Janasena Party on the basis that the former JD is also from the Kapu community.
YSR Congress and Blue Media were baying for the blood of Lakshminarayana when he was pursuing Jagan’s cases. They did everything to defame him and assassinate his character. But the same Blue Media is shouldering his party to decimate Janasena and thereby weaken the TDP – Janasena alliance.
Coming to the ‘Jai Bharat National Party’, people of Telugu States have lost faith in parties speaking of ‘Change’.
It was over with Jayaprakash Narayana itself in 2009.
Also, Lakshminarayana losing the 2019 elections may have sealed his fate. Also, the way he struggled to remain relevant after 2019 will work against him and his party.
People are aware of how a party formed three months before the elections should be treated.
Moreover, the votes his party will get (how less they may be) are due to his track record but not due to his caste.
Bringing caste into JD’s party is nothing but insulting the people’s intellect.
But then, the Blue Media is that desperate these days.
