The Assembly Elections of Maharashtra are around the corner and are scheduled to be held in November. Ahead of the polls, all major parties are gearing up for the campaign.
Amidst the ongoing dramatic political events, senior actor Sayaji Shinde joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), led by Ajit Pawar. The news was made official the other day during a party event in Mumbai.
Ajit Pawan stated that Sayaji Shine will be one of the star campaigners of the party in the upcoming elections. He also hinted that more prominent personalities would be joining NCP in the coming days.
Shinde mentioned that playing the role of a politician in several films inspired him to enter politics. He also praised Ajit Pawar’s way of governing and added that he needs to be actively involved in politics to work effectively.
Shinde is a prominent Marathi actor and has worked in various other languages like Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Gujarati and Bhojpuri. He is a noted personality in Telugu cinema too and is known for his portrayal of negative roles.
Recently, Sayaji Shinde met Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and requested him to hand over plan seeds as prasad at multiple temples in the state.
On the film front, Sayaji Shinde was recently seen in the movie Maa Nanna Superhero, which features Sudheer Babu as the lead hero.
