Posani Krishna Murali High Court Cases

Posani Krishna Murali got a slight relief in two cases. It is known that about 16 cases have been filed by TDP and Jana Sena members for using and posting offensive language and obscene words against Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh and Pawan Kalyan.

While he was left with disappointment in Adoni case, he got some respite in two other cases. There was a hearing in the High Court on the petition by Posani Krishna Murali to strike down cases against him.

Posani filed a quash petition requesting to strike down 5 cases among the cases filed across the state. The Court hearing happened on Thursday.

The Court struck down the petition as a PT warrant was applicable in Adoni police case. Meanwhile, the assistant advocate general said that PT warrants were not applied in Vizag’s Padmanabham police station, Combined Chittoor state’s Sullurupet, Srikakulam district’s Patha Patnam and Anantapuram police stations.

The Court directed not to take action on the four cases by the petitioner in a rush. It said that the police must go ahead as per BSSS Section 35 (3).

In all, 16 cases are filed against writer, YSRCP member Posani Krishna Murali by Jana Sena leaders. Based on this, Annamayya district police arrested him from his house in Hyderabad.

He was in remand in Rajampet sub-jail. From there based on PT warrant, he was presented before Narsaraopet Court and sent to police custody.

Later, on PT warrant, Adoni police brought him from Guntur and presented him before Judicial First Class In-Charge Magistrate Aparna.




The Judge imposed 14 days remand on Posani. As Posani requested to be sent to Kurnool jail instead of Adoni jail, the Judge approved to send him to Kurnool jail. Based on this, Posani has been shifted to Panchlingala jail on the outskirts of Kurnool, by the police.
