The Power woes of Telangana are back again. The Power deficit state was relieved for a while by the increase in the production of hydro electricity due to the torrential rains last months. But with the rains gone and sun god back to duty, the power production has gone down and the demand increased over the last one week. The Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited had ordered GHMC to implement 4 hours power cuts in the city per day. These power cuts will be implemented in two spells of two hours each between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.every day.
On the other side, situation is not any better in other parts of the state. District headquarters will be going back to power cuts of five hours a day, while for towns/municipalities will not have the power for six hours, and mandal headquarters will have to toil with eight hours per day. The state government has relaxed power holidays for industries last month but they are very likely to be resumed very soon.
