Telugu Desam Party is in absolute commanding position in Andhra Pradesh Politics right now. The party and it’s allies decimated YSR Congress in the recent elections and the revival of that party is not happening any soon.
Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu is also keen to revive the party in Telangana. Sources say that Prashant Kishor and Robbin Sharma‘s Political Strategy Company, Showtime presented a detailed Presentation to Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh.
They outlined the complete plan to revive the party and the party sources say. The first pilot initiative is set to launch from Mahbubnagar.
Naidu believes that the next Telangana Assembly Elections are going to be a three-way contest and TDP‘s support can become crucial in case. Also, it is important to gain strength in both the Telugu States as the next General Election is likely to yield a Hung Result.
Even though a revival in Telangana is not easy, any gain will definitely count. Also with TDP in power in Andhra Pradesh, Naidu can afford to experiment and support the party in Telangana.
The GHMC elections slated for the next year may be a testing ground for the party. In the last election, the TDP supporters and the Vote Bank threw their weight behind the Congress out of their admiration for Revanth Reddy.
Moreover the ‘Telangana Sentiment‘ factor appeared to have reached its expiry in 2023 itself with BRS getting defeat. People have voted on other factors than the sentiment. So, it maybe ideal time for TDP to test the waters, Chandrababu Naidu believes.
