Satish Reddy, Pulivendula Faction Kahaani

Pulivendula faction politics

Pulivendula YSR Congress leader Satish Reddy has alleged that Lokesh and B Tech Ravi are conspiring to eliminate him after he made stern remarks about Lokesh during a press conference. He claimed that if anything happens to him, both Lokesh and B Tech Ravi should be investigated by the CBI, as he has no faith in the state police.

According to Reddy, reliable information from TDP well-wishers suggested that his rivals are plotting an attack in retaliation for his criticism of Lokesh.

Satish Reddy has been a political rival of the YS family for decades, having contested against YSR and Jagan Mohan Reddy in Pulivendula in four elections between 1999 and 2014.

He began his career in the Telugu Desam Party and was elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council in 2014. Unanimously chosen as an MLC in both 2011 and 2014, he later shifted to YSR Congress ahead of the 2024 elections.

Hailing from Vempalle in Kadapa district, Satish Reddy was associated with the TDP for a long time, serving as the Single Window President in 1988, Mandal President in 1995, and later as an MLC.

Interestingly, before the 2019 elections, YSR Congress leaders accused Adinarayana Reddy, B Tech Ravi, and Satish Reddy of involvement in the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy. Avinash Reddy even pressured YS Sunitha to sign a letter blaming the three, but she refused.

For much of his career, Satish Reddy was an arch-rival of the YS family. However, after 2020, he distanced himself from the TDP following B Tech Ravi’s growing influence in the party and district politics. S

oon after joining YSR Congress, his name disappeared from the Viveka murder case. He was appointed as the party’s General Secretary and became an active spokesperson in the media, now working alongside Avinash Reddy to secure a win in the Pulivendula ZPTC election and to gain Jagan Mohan Reddy’s support.

Satish Reddy, once accused in the Viveka murder case, now claims that Lokesh is plotting to kill him. This dramatic shift captures the essence of Pulivendula’s intense faction politics. Meanwhile, polling for the Pulivendula ZPTC elections is scheduled for the 12th of this month, keeping the political atmosphere charged.
