Sharmila who once shouldered her brother has turned into an arch-rival and a bitter critic of Jagan Mohan Reddy. There are speculations that she will challenge him in Kadapa or even in his own constituency, Pulivendula.
Sharmila confirmed that she would contest against her brother YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Pulivendula if the Congress party asks her to do so.
Sharmila said that she is ready to contest against her brother and suggested that either she, Raghuveera Reddy, or Pallam Raju should be prepared to contest if instructed by the Congress’s high command.
Since assuming the role of APCC president, Sharmila has consistently criticized her brother, Jagan, and the alleged atrocities of his YCP government.
Reportedly, Sharmila may contest for the MP seat from the Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency. As she is ready to contest in the Pulivendula as well, the decision of the Congress high command remains to be seen.
