But then, this time, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has taken TTD affairs seriously. Right after his swearing-in ceremony, the Chief Minister announced that the systems’ cleansing would begin from Tirumala itself.
Accordingly, the newly-appointed EO is doing very well in the shrine.
And now, there are reports that Chandrababu is considering Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju as the Chairman of TTD.
If true, this will be a game-changer for Tirumala.
Ashok is a straightforward and very spiritual man. He is known for his non-sense and zero-corruption attitude.
Also, he is someone who leads a simple life and does not get influenced by power and recommendations.
Ashok Gajapathi Raju was also the hereditary trustee of Simhachalam Temple, and also a trustee for numerous temples in Uttarandhra.
After coming to power in 2019, the then-Jagan Government tried to trouble Ashok as well by ousting him from the Temple Boards.
Ashok had to fight in court for his rights.
So, this move will also set the right political narrative.
Ashok Gajapathi Raju also donated 1000s of acres for several public causes. So, appointing him as TTD Chairman will increase the confidence of the devotees.
