Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is out on an interim bail granted by the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The bail is valid until the 26th of this month unless extended.
Meanwhile, the regular bail petition will be heard by the High Court on the 10th of this month. Also, there is Chandrababu’s Quash petition pending in the Supreme Court.
The arguments were completed in the case and the Bench of Justice Aniruddha Bose and Justice Bela M Trivedi reserved the orders since October 17th.
The Bench did not give any date on the matter until now.
There were unconfirmed reports that the judgment would be out on November 8th or 9th but the official date is not given.
In case, the judgement is not given on that date, the Government will push the High Court not to give the bail until the Quash petition is cleared.
And the final decision will depend on the Judge.
Justice T Mallikarjuna Rao who granted the interim bail to Chandrababu will hear the Regular Bail petition as well.
TDP is hoping that they will get one more favorable judgment.
If all, the quash petition goes in favor of Chandrababu, all the cases registered on Naidu will have to go since Section 17A will be applicable and all these cases will become null and void without the approval of the Governor.
YSR Congress camp is hoping that the Supreme Court will not decide on the issue and will hold their judgment until the Constitutional Bench hears Prashant Bhushan who already filed a PIL on Section 17A.
