Raghu Rama Krishna Raju won on YSR Congress ticket but turned Rebel for Jagan Mohan Reddy and fought against the Government for around four years.
He had to face Sedition cases and also custodial torture in jail. But he relentlessly fought.
BJP insisted on having the Narasapuram Parliament seat and denied Raghu Rama a ticket.
Naidu had to move him to Undi where TDP has a sitting MLA and a Rebel already.
The Sitting MLA Rama Raju agreed to cooperate with RRR while the Rebel Siva Rama Raju is still in the fray.
Siva Rama Raju met Jagan Mohan Reddy to join the YSR Congress but the latter asked him to contest as a Rebel to split TDP votes.
Siva Rama Raju is the candidate from Forward Block right now.
But then, there are reports that TDP is still ahead here due to Raghu Rama’s popularity.
As a result, Jagan changed strategy. He reportedly asked YSR Congress candidate Narasimha Raju to slow down the campaign and spending.
The plan is to divert all votes to Siva Rama Raju so that he can win with his own popularity (in TDP voters) and YSR Congress votes.
It looks like Jagan wants to defeat Raghu Rama Krishna Raju even at the cost of losing a seat.
Probably, he thinks Siva Rama Raju will support his government anyway. But such arithmetic is very difficult.
It is not easy for the transfer of votes from a party to independent especially when the party symbol is still on the EVM.
On the other hand, TDP is confident that Raghu Rama Krishna Raju will win maybe with a small margin.
