Legendary Media Baron Cherukuri Ramoji Rao passed away earlier hours of today fighting prolonged illness due to age-related ailments.

Ramoji Rao left an indelible mark on Telugu Journalism as he made letters as weapon and always fought for the people particularly the poor.

Over the course of fifty years journey of Eenadu, Ramoji Rao fought Indira Gandhi, Late YSR, and Jagan Mohan Reddy – three of them at the heights of their popularity.

Even If that meant Vendetta Politics by those in Power, he never refused to bow down.

Ramoji was called the most powerful media baron in the country.

But there is not a single instance of Ramoji Rao going to any Chief Minister. Probably, he is the last Kingmaker in Indian Media.

We have seen country’s most powerful man, Amit Shah going all the way to Ramoji Film City to meet him. KCR at the heights of his political popularity went to RFC to meet him. He is someone who has direct access to the Prime Minister’s Office and was a front-row invitee to Narendra Modi’s Swearing-in ceremony.

But when we search for his images and videos of him, we barely get anything.

That is because Ramoji Rao is a Media shy man. His pictures are very limited on Public domain and his videos particularly his speeches are very rare.

Probably, we have seen him speak at important occasions of Eenadu.

We are supposed to see him speak at the fiftieth Anniversary of Eenadu on August 10th but the God scripted it different.
