Reels in Tirumala: TTD Warns of Stringent Action

TTD Warns of Stringent Action

TTD has expressed anger over some people making distasteful reels near the Tirumala temple and in mada lanes. It has warned that the vigilance teams will identify such people and take severe action.

TTD said that such acts caused mental agony to devotees and spoiled the devotional aura of the temple town. It said that such vulgar and distasteful acts were not appropriate in the spiritual center.

Devotees must conduct only devotional programmes at Tirumala, said TTD. Tirumala is a place for prayer and bhakti and all devotees must remember this, they said.

Scores of people visit the holy temple of Lord Venkateswara and those coming to Tirumala must emphatise with the feelings of the devout, said TTD.

The Board said that going forward, cases will be filed on people violating the norms and legal action would be taken.

The decision comes at a time when people visiting temples use the backdrop to make reels for social acceptance. The decision by TTD will set a benchmark for other temples across the country.
