The Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Committee expressed happiness over his visit, noting that no Chief Minister in the last forty-five years had visited Tank Bund during the immersion. Many devotees eagerly shook hands with him during the visit.

When requested to address the gathering, the Chief Minister declined, saying speeches were not appropriate at such a spiritual occasion. However, he raised the slogan “Ganapati Bappa Moriya,” which won the crowd’s approval.

The immersion has been proceeding peacefully in Hyderabad. The Khairatabad Ganesh has already been immersed in Hussain Sagar, while the Balapur Ganesh is on its way. Devotees are hurrying due to the lunar eclipse on Sunday.

Thousands of idols are still awaiting immersion, and the process is expected to continue till tomorrow. Nearly the entire police force of the three Commissionerates is on duty, supported by Excise, Forest, RPF, STF, and even SDRF personnel this year.
