Serpentine queues are present before all the wine shops as early as 6 AM this morning and social distancing norms were violated at many places. Police constables were deployed at all the wine shops in the state but they could barely control the huge crowds.

The other day, at the Press Meet, Chief Minister KCR warned of closing the wine shops in an hour if there are reports of social-distancing violations. If he is serious, we should get the announcement very soon. Coming to Andhra Pradesh, the state has registered a whopping 68 Crore revenue from Liquor sale on the first day and managed another 40 Crore on its second day.

Telangana has increased the prices by around 16% while AP increased by over 75%.
