Govindappa, a Full-time director of Bharathi Cements, was recently arrested inthe AP Liquor Scam.
After Vijay Sai Reddy went into full-time politics, Govindhappa took his place, looking into the accounts and auditing of Jagan’s Businesses.

There are allegations that the proceeds of the Liquor Scam were diverted to Bharathi Cements.

While arguing that Govindappa Balaji’s arrest was illegal, they started arguing that Bharathi Cement does not actually belong to the Jagan family.
They say that Bharathi Cements was once sold to a French company called Vicat SA.
They say Vicat SA holds a 51% share in Bharathi Cements.
If a company holds 51% share, it should naturally take it over and administer it. But then, Bharathi is everything for the company.
Five foreign people are on board as the directors of Bharathi Cements, but they are not the shareholders of Vicat SA.
Probably, this is an idea to dissociate with the responsibility if the CID was able to establish that the proceeds of the Liquor Scam were diverted to Bharathi Cements.
It is too early to say if this argument will be valid legally, but politically, people will not believe it.
If the CID is able to gather the evidence that the proceeds of the Liquor Scam were diverted to Bharathi Cements, it will be a big blow for Jagan Mohan Reddy.
