Popular director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for Animal, met Telangana CM Revanth Reddy on Friday. The filmmaker donated Rs 10 lakh to the CM Relief Fund.
Sandeep Reddy and his brother Pranay Reddy made the contribution in the name of their production house, Bhadrakali Productions. Photos of the meeting quickly went viral on social media.
The donation comes at a crucial time as several parts of Telangana are facing floods. Relief operations are ongoing, and contributions are being used for rescue and rehabilitation efforts.
CM Revanth Reddy, who faced criticism over delays in rescue operations, conducted an aerial survey of the flood-hit areas. He has also delegated officials to speed up relief measures.
Welcoming Sandeep Reddy’s donation, the CM urged citizens to contribute in whatever way they can to support those affected by the floods.
Continuous rains for over a month have left several regions in Telangana flooded. The damage has affected homes, crops, and even led to loss of lives.
Leaders from different political parties are visiting flood-affected areas to console people. The BRS has directed its leaders and cadre to actively take part in relief activities.
