Sasikala Natarajan, the close confidante of Jayalalithaa took the reins of AIADMK officially a little while ago. All the leaders of the party including Chief Minister O Paneer Selvam welcomed her to the party office to take charge as the party’s General Secretary.

After taking charge, she addressed the party workers. Sasikala broke down while addressing the party workers but she tried to instill confidence in them saying that, “Amma is not with us now but our party will rule here for the next 100 years”.
She went on to say, “My life is Amma, she struggled for 75 days but God called his loved child to him”. On the other side, there are rumours that Sasikala is going to replace O Paneer Selvam at any time. Last night, there are rumours even about a possible meeting of AIADMK leaders to change the Chief Minister but it did not happen.
