Election Commission of India had finalized the schedule for elections of Council in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The elections will take place for two Teachers Quota MLCs in Andhra Pradesh and two Graduate Quota MLCs in Telangana.
The notification for the elections will be released on February 19th. The polling will take place on March 16th. The counting will be held on March 19th and the results will be out on the same day.
Mahabubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad, Warangal-Nalgonda-Khammam are the two graduate MLC seats that will go for election in Telangana while East and West Godavari, Krishna-Guntur are the two Teachers Quota MLC seats are going to be filled in Andhra Pradesh. All these seats are likely to be bagged by the ruling parties in both the states. Since victory is almost guaranteed, there are huge number of aspirants for these positions.
