It is known that the government of Andhra Pradesh has been secretly trying to move the capital to Vizag. A luxurious building is under construction at Rushikonda in the name of tourism development while there are reports that this could be the new camp office of Jagan.
Now, a case has been filed at the AP High Court regarding the G.O. 2283 passed by the YCP government on November 22, which permits the shifting of government buildings to Vizag. Gadde Tirupathi Rao, an Amaravati activist filed the case.
It is mentioned that the Jagan government is trying to defer the High Court order to continue Amaravati as the capital by trying to move to Vizag. The case requests the court to impose a star on G.O 2283.
The allegation is that the entire secretariat is being moved to Vizag while in the record books, it is mentioned that only the Camp Office is being moved.
The case also brings to light the fact that the government spent Rs 50 lakh on each bathroom at the newly built CM Camp Office at Rushikonda.
The High Court accepted the case and called for hearing. It has to be seen if the HC will issue a stay on the mentioned GO and prevent the secret shifting of the capital to Vizag.
