Initial reports of election trends suggest that the newly formed state is being fiercely contested by TDP and YSRCP. Voter turnout in the region is extremely good. Many voters especially the young ones have shown special interest in voting in the wake of state bifurcation. Violence erupted in many places of Rayalaseema and some places of Southern Coastal Andhra due to the over enthusiasm of YSR Congress party. Maoists have attacked a polling booth in Palakagiri, Vishakapatnam and have taken away two EVMs with them. Lagadapati Raja Gopal once again had predicted a TDP win. We will have to see how it goes!
