CBI Special Court in Nampally has rapped the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for delaying the counter in Indira Television (Sakshi) case of Jagan’s disproportionate assets cases.
Indira Television is trying to delay the case by filing discharge petitions.
Legal experts say that the petitions can be disposed of easily if ED files counter on time.
ED is knowingly or unknowingly helping the delay of the cases by not filing counter.
Indira Television filed this discharge petition last year and since then, ED is not filing a counter.
The Principal Judge of the CBI Special Court, Madhusudhan Rao took a serious view of this and gave the ED a final chance.
The next hearing has been posted for the 21st of this month.
This has been a problem with many cases of Jagan. The petitioners are filing discharge petitions and the actual cases can be heard only after they are disposed of.
There are many petitions in each case and they file discharge petitions one after the other. So that there is an endless delay when the cases actually come to hearing.
