Stage set for Bypoll -Huge turn out expected!

Stage set for voting from 7am to 6pm for Medak parliamentary constituency in Telangana and Nandigama Assembly constituency in AP today. Medak by poll due to KCR’s resignation after he became CM and Nandigama bye-election is being held due to Tangirala Prabhakar of the TDP died of heart-attack.

In AP, it’s mainly between TD and Congress as YCP chose to not jump in. Prabhakar’s daughter Sowmya, a software engineer may win because of sympathy and positive mood of people towards the ruling party.

In Medak, it’s between TRS and others as the ruling party is expcted to have a smooth victory while opponents campaigned hard to get majority to prove a point on ruling party’s 100 days ruling is not so impressive.

Total 14 candidates in fray from Medak parliamentary constituency and 4 candidates in fray from Nandigama Assembly constituency are praying for their luck today.

Both constituencies recorded 75 percent poll percentage in 2014 general elections but EC is expecting to record more than 90 percent turn out today.
