We are just two days away from the results of Andhra Pradesh. All eyes are on Pithapuram from where Pawan Kalyan is contesting after having lost two seats in 2019 elections.
While YSR Congress says Pawan Kalyan will lose yet again, Janasena and TDP supporters say it is only about Pawan Kalyan’s majority from here.
Pollsters and Survey Agencies say that Jagan Mohan Reddy may have helped Pawan Kalyan in this election.
“It is no secret that Kapu community wants Pawan Kalyan to win in this election as he lost from two seats in 2019. We are talking about the seat with the highest Kapu population in the country. That has worked in Pawan Kalyan’s favor,” they say.
The most important factor is Jagan himself they say.
Jagan mobilized many resources to defeat Pawan Kalyan at any cost. He deputed Mithun Reddy from Chittoor in Pithapuram. Mudragada Padmanabham was brought into the party only to abuse Pawan Kalyan. Anchor Shyamala also targeted Pawan Kalyan in Pithapuram. Then, Jagan’s last meeting was in the Pithapuram seat and he also promised to make Vanga Geetha the Deputy Chief Minister.
“It was like a Dandayatra on Pawan Kalyan. Jagan unknowingly polarized the Kapu community to vote unanimously for Pawan Kalyan. Kapu voters may have received numerous calls from their friends and relatives in other districts, states, and even countries asking them to vote for the Janasenani. This polarization will only help Pawan Kalyan,” they add.
Pollsters also say the TDP vote transfer helped Pawan Kalyan big time.
“We do not know what Chandrababu told SVSN Varma (TDP Incharge). He worked his heart out for Pawan Kalyan. There was a complete transfer of votes from TDP to Janasena.
The Exit Polls coming this evening are likely to give us an idea.
