Nani has extended his support to Andhra Pradesh’s ‘Swachha Rathalu’ initiative, drawing appreciation from the Deputy Chief Minister’s Office.

The Deputy CMO, on behalf of Pawan Kalyan, thanked Nani for responding promptly when approached and contributing to the program. In a post on X, the office highlighted the initiative’s guiding idea, “Our cleanliness, our health, our responsibility,” describing it as part of a broader vision to improve sanitation across rural Andhra Pradesh.

The ‘Swachha Rathalu’ initiative focuses on strengthening village sanitation systems, promoting waste-to-wealth practices and encouraging community participation in waste management. These mobile units are helping villages efficiently handle dry waste while spreading awareness among residents.

The impact of the program is already visible. In April alone, around 19 lakh kilograms of dry waste were collected. In return, goods worth approximately ₹3.32 crore were distributed, with villagers exchanging waste for essential commodities.

A key part of the initiative is its focus on schools. Every Thursday, Swachha Rathalu visit schools, where students are encouraged to bring dry waste and receive books and stationery in return. This approach is helping build awareness about cleanliness and sustainability among younger generations.

The program aligns with national and state-level goals, including Swachh Bharat Mission and the vision of N. Chandrababu Naidu to promote a cleaner Andhra Pradesh.

With growing public participation and support from figures like Nani, the initiative is steadily evolving into a people-driven movement focused on sustainable sanitation.

When public participation meets purpose, initiatives like this move beyond policy and become a movement.
