It is reported that the election schedule is likely to be announced this month. There is speculation that the election process, which is expected to be completed in 60 days after the schedule, may lead to elections in three or four weeks of April.
However, political parties in East Godavari have not yet finalized their candidates.
The alliance between Telugu Desam and Janasena has created a situation where some leaders may need to make sacrifices for certain positions.
Additionally, there is information suggesting that the BJP will form an alliance with both TDP and Janasena, leading to further potential adjustments and sacrifices.
TDP and Jana Sena are united in their desire to remove the YSRCP government and come to power without dividing the anti-government votes.
Although the alliances have been finalized, the specific candidates and their constituencies are yet to be determined. However, it is rumored that the Telugu Desam leadership in the district has given preliminary approval to three candidates.
Reportedly, the TDP candidates are likely to be Gopalapuram’s Maddipati Venkataraju, Rajamahendravaram City’s Adireddy Vasu, and Anaparthi’s Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy.
Janasena leader Pawan Kalyan has announced the party’s intention to contest from Rajanagaram, leading to potential conflicts with TDP in-charge Boddu Venkata Ramana Chaudhary, who asserts his claim to the ticket.
In Rajamahendra Varam Rural, there is a dispute over the ticket between MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdhury and Jana Sena leader and former MLC Kandula Durgesh.
Chowdhury stated that the tickets have not been finalized for anyone yet, and the final announcement will be made by their leaders Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan.
The situation is also unclear in the Kovvuru SC constituency, where former minister and district TDP president KS Jawahar and former Gopalapuram MLA Muppidi Venkate Swara Rao are reportedly vying for the ticket.
As the ticket finalization process continues, tension is increasing in the district, especially with the possibility of the Rajamahem Dravararam MP seat being allocated if the BJP joins the alliance.
