The result is out and TDP has scored a big victory in the Pulivendula ZPTC polls. It was an easy win for TDP’s Pulivendula ZPTC candidate Maareddy Lata Reddy, who secured a massive majority of 6035 votes.
In sharp contrast, YSRCP candidate Hemanth Reddy lost his deposit after managing only 683 votes. Independent candidates and the Congress secured less than 100 votes each in the contest.
Around 74 percent voter turnout was recorded during the polling on Wednesday. A total of 11 contestants representing TDP, YSRCP, Congress and independents took part in the Pulivendula ZPTC election.
Minister Savitha congratulated Lata Reddy on her victory and said the people of Pulivendula got their freedom a day before Independence Day. She added that democracy has triumphed and expressed confidence that Jagan’s bastion in Pulivendula will fall in the next elections. She also thanked party workers for their efforts.
After her sensational win, Maareddy Lata Reddy told the media that justice and righteousness had prevailed in Pulivendula. She assured that she would work to uphold the trust placed in her. Across Andhra Pradesh, TDP supporters are celebrating the Pulivendula ZPTC victory.
