Teen Maar Mallanna has launched his own political party in Telangana, surprising many in state politics. Known for his sharp attacks on the ruling Congress, he unveiled the Telangana Rajyadhikara Party (TRP) during the Praja Palana Dinotsavam. The party flag features red and green with a fist at the centre.
This move was not unexpected. MLC and journalist Chintapandu Naveen Kumar, better known as Teen Maar Mallanna, has often spoken about starting a party to safeguard BC interests. He stated that his focus will be on protecting their rights instead of treating them as mere vote banks.
The party launch took place on September 17, a symbolic date marking Telangana’s accession to the Indian Union. At the Taj Krishna event, Teen Maar Mallanna outlined his agenda and ideology. Reports suggest he is eyeing the Jubilee Hills seat for an upcoming bypoll.
However, analysts remain doubtful. Many feel Mallanna may be riding too much on his social media fame. They believe sustaining a new party in Telangana’s competitive politics will be difficult, and he may not stay long as a serious party leader.
