The Telangana Congress is seeing anticipated developments within the party. With party High Command putting the cabinet expansion on hold in the state, the leaders who expected a cabinet berth are getting increasingly frustrated.
Instead of sulking, the aspirants are letting out their fire on those allegedly trying to stop them. Just yesterday, Manchiryala MLA Prema Sagar Rao expressed his ire on a family from his constituency, who he said were stopping him from getting a cabinet post.

Rao made these comments in an event attended by Bhatti Vikramarka and Sridhar Babu. Hence, they have created quite a buzz in political circles.
Prema Sagar Rao further said that there were two MLAs and one MP from a single family. If a cabinet berth is given to them, it will be like selling Adilabad to them, he said. Rao reminded that the naxal movement started in Adilabad in 1985 and they were a land of movements. He said if he is denied minister’s post, he will not take it lamely. Rao said he will surely protest.

The political circles say Rao hit out at Chennur MLA Vivek’s family. Brothers Vivek and Vinod are lobbying for a berth and there was talk that one of them would get the post.
On Sunday, Munugodu MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy vented out frustration and said that Jana Reddy was stopping him from getting minister post, also on a public platform.

He wondered why Jana Reddy was concerned about Rangareddy and Hyderabad. Rajagopal Reddy said that minister’s post will come based on one’s capability and not by begging.
There is talk that two brothers can’t be given cabinet berths from the same house. When Irfan Pathan and Yousuf Pathan can represent India in cricket, what’s wrong with me getting a cabinet berth, said Rajagopal Reddy.
Also, I have been promised cabinet berth if I work to make Bhuvanagiri MP candidate win, he said.
With the leaders openly talking about such matters, the High Command might get involved, say party insiders. The expansion process has become a headache and chances are high that the High Command might admonish the leaders talking about berths.
With so much drama happening in the party, the cabinet expansion will be postponed further, say Telangana Congress insiders.
