This has never happened before but Congress began working its way to grow in Telangana by appeasing the BCs. With the only motive of defeating TRS, Congress teamed up with TDP, TJS and other small parties and formed a Mahakutami.

Now it has been scripting strategies for its victory. Eyeing the 57% BCs population in the state it had decided to give 30% seats to the BCs and to that effect it had asked TPCC leaders to prepare list as well.
According to this proposition, 34 seats will be given to BCs and then Madigas will get 12 and Malas will get 6, 6 for the Lambadis and 6 for the Adivasis. TPCC also clarified that if it’s not possible to give the ticket to BCs because of reservation issues of a parliament constituency then it will adjust giving more tickets in other parliament constituencies. Never before 30% seats were given to BCs and it’s a historic decision. The party said it is committed to social justice.
