Night Time Economy: Telangana’s Latest Priority

Hyderabad night-time economy expansion

Revanth Reddy‘s government has accelerated its plan to generate income through the night-time economy. Their focus is to push Hyderabad and other metros to earn more through commerce, tourism, cultural activity, employment and business opportunities during late hours.

The government has set a long-term vision of a $3 trillion economy by 2047. They have outlined a clear plan to move toward this target and will depend on both government and private partnership. The aim is to build steady and sustainable growth.

Night-time cultural events, state festivals, heritage walks and food courts will be organised to meet these goals. MSMEs will get a safe and supportive ecosystem. The government is also taking steps to ensure complete security for women during night hours.

A single-window facility will be offered for all bookings and permissions. This system is expected to make operations smoother and reduce delays for organisers, businesses and workers who rely on night-time activity.

Hyderabad plays a major role in GSDP, and many in tech and IT companies work through the night. To support this workforce and expand economic activity, the government plans to strengthen the night-time economy and improve convenience for the IT crowd.

The government has presented a detailed roadmap in the Telangana Rising document. This plan explains how they aim to achieve the goal and will be released during the Global Summit on December 8 and 9.
