The Central government is yet to divide the loans made in the United State between both the Telugu States. Most of the loans were taken from the World Bank, JICA and other external agencies. These foreign aids were mostly spent on various projects of Hyderabad and Telangana is bound to get major share of the loans. According to records, most of these funds were for several projects of the city such as the Outer Ring Road, Hussainsagar cleaning, modernization of power supply system in Hyderabad.
Sources say these loans spent alone on Hyderabad projects will amount to 25000 Crores which have to repaid in the next 6 years. Once the loans are divided, Telangana government had to enter in to new agreements with the funding agencies. In his recent visit to Delhi, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao urged the center to speed up the division of loans so that they can take up the repayments as soon as possible.
