Telangana will be going to polls in under 24 hours from now and the tension and anticipation on the same have hit the pinnacle point. The polling will start at 8 AM tomorrow, 30 November.
Coming to the point, big tension has engulfed 15 constituencies in the state which are having rebel candidates and sizeable independents in the contest. Leading parties BRS, BJP, and Congress are now worried about the impact the independents and rebels will have in these 15 constituencies, it seems.
Pilli Ramaraju Yadav hoped for BRS ticket from Nalgonda but that didn’t happen. So he is contesting on Forward Block Party ticket.
Suryapet’s Vatte Jaanayya Yadav didn’t get the BRS ticket and he then switched to BSP. He is expected to have a say in the polling trends. Kothagudem ex-MLA Somarapu Satynarayana is casting a similar spell as he too moved to BSP in the last minute.
Similar scenes are seen in Kolhapur, where Barrelakka is in the contest. She has become a talking point of late. Kagajnagar, Patancheruvu, Maktal, and other constituencies are also seeing head-on clashes from independents and rebels.
Apart from that, CPM in 19 constituencies, including key segments like Palair, Bhadrachalam, Miryalaguda and this time around. These segments are expected to have close fights and CPM’s presence will further tight up the numbers game. There are 15 such tight contests in as many constituencies and it has to be seen which way the voters will go.
