The Post-Bifurcation Blues are not yet over for both the Telugu States but their Chief Ministers have grossly involved in attracting investments and making their respective states as destinations for industrial giants. Andhra Pradesh successfully managed the Hero Motocorp plant (3000 Crore) under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu while KCR has cleared the projects like multinational Cogent Glass (Rs. 200 crore), Procter and Gamble (Rs. 900 crore) and 400-crore manufacturing facility of Johnson and Johnson.
However experts say there is no need of mad rat race between both the Chief Ministers provided the strengths of the states are different. Telangana has cosmopolitan Hyderabad, well entrenched IT sector and Andhra Pradesh boasts of one of the biggest coast lines in the country for port-based economic activity and rich natural resources. With its strengths, Telangana can cater more service based industries while Andhra Pradesh is good place for manufacturing industries.
It is known that K Chandra Sekhar Rao earlier worked under Chandrababu Naidu in TDP but came out and floated TRS as the later refused him a ministerial berth. Both of the them worked together in a failed alliance in 2009 elections. But now do not see eye to eye. The political rivalry has transformed in to a race between both the sister states.
