Chandrababu Naidu was able to block the leaders who defected from YSR Congress after the elections.

Janga was made the TTD Board Member and so, was refused.

Mopidevi resigned as Rajya Sabha MP midway of his term and openly announced that he wanted to go to the Council. But he was not considered.

Pawan Kalyan wanted Balineni in the Cabinet via Council.

But Nagababu getting the cabinet means Balineni can not get another one. Also, there is only one vacant berth in the Cabinet and that means Pawan Kalyan had to choose between Nagababu and Balineni.

And the choice is obvious.

Blocking Balineni is best among the lot since his elevation will create unnecessary complications in the Prakasam district.

Also, there is no trust in Balineni. TDP leadership believes he is taking temporary asylum in Janasena and will go back to the YSR Congress before the elections. Meanwhile, will destroy the TDP and Janasena in the district.

The next trench of the MLC seats will become vacant only in 2027. We will have to see if the same rule continues even then.

By then, there is also a chance that the cabinet will be reshuffled.

The elections will be just two years away by then. Also, there is a huge list of TDP leaders waiting for their turn. They have sacrificed their MLA seats for the alliance.

Obviously, they should be given the first priority ahead of the defected leaders.
