Tough-time to Rajini in Guntur West!!

Vidadala-Rajini

The Guntur West Constituency holds significance as a stronghold for the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

Historically, the constituency has been a TDP stronghold, and candidates from the party have been successful in winning, particularly with support from the Kamma community.

In the upcoming elections, there is anticipation of new candidates entering the fray.

Vidadala Rajini, who previously joined YSRCP from TDP and was previously representing Chilukaluripet, is among the new contenders.

However, there are satirical comments suggesting that she may be gradually realizing the challenges posed by the situation in Guntur West.

The constituency comprises a mix of communities, including Kamma, Kapu, BC (Backward Classes), and the strong Vaddera community within the BC category.

Guntur West has traditionally favored TDP, and dissatisfaction with the government may pose challenges for Rajini.

Rajini is getting non-cooperation from both existing MLA Maddali Giri and YSRCP contestant in 2019 Yesu Rathnam. In addition to that, she has no her own cadre in Guntur like in Chilakaluripet.

It’s worth noting that Guntur West’s political landscape is influenced by the dominance of the Kamma community, and TDP has been successful in securing their support in the past.

In the previous elections, despite the margin being around 1000 votes in favor of Jana Sena Party, TDP secured a victory with a margin of 5000 votes.

With TDP and Jana Sena in alliance for the upcoming elections, there is a prevailing opinion that the contest in Guntur West might lean heavily in favor of the alliance, given the historical stronghold and the support from various communities.
