
The transfers of staff belonging to other religions has started. In all, TTD has identified 47 people from other religions.
The TTD Board has decided that people from other religions cannot work in religious, devotional and education segments. However, they can work in other departments.

This decision was taken by the TTD chairman in the first meeting of the Board. The first transfer was of the principal of TTD Women’s Polytechnic College.
Soon, others will be transferred. The Hindu organisations have welcomed the move.

Ever since Jagan Mohan Reddy came to power, there has been an ongoing debate about allowing people of other religions in TTD. A lot of Hindu organisations cried hoarse that Jagan Reddy was spoiling the sanctity of Tirumala.
Immediately after the alliance government came to power, they have taken up cleansing of Tirumala on a priority basis. Transfer of staff is one such move.

The TTD Board had passed a resolution that non-Hindus will not be allowed to work in the temple as per Andhra Pradesh Endowments Act. Those from other religions were to either opt out voluntarily or get absorbed into various government departments.
